About Domain into IP

We use domain names to find our favorite websites; we also bookmark them in our search browsers. We can even write them down and save them in case something goes wrong with our device. But why do we need to know the IP address of a domain? We will need this information if we want to know the details about the domain. What is an IP address? We need to know the answer to this question before discussing a domain's IP address.

IP ADDRESS

There is a database containing records of all the websites on the Internet. An IP address is what distinguishes one domain from another. Each domain is assigned a unique IP address. IP (Internet Protocol) is a unique addressing system used to identify all computers using the Internet. When connected to the Internet through any device; mobile phone, tablet, laptop, computer, etc. you are identified by your IP address. Without a unique addressing system, browsing and managing the Internet would be nearly impossible. Imagine that you live in an area with no house numbers, street numbers, or names. It is impossible to find out where a person lives.

The IP address is four digits long. Each of which contains from one to three numbers. Single point '.' Separates each set of numbers. Each of the four numbers can range from 0 to 255. The IP address can be in the form 28.178.123.456. This harmless looking set of numbers is the key that enables the user to send and receive data from other websites. It is this set of numbers that ensures we go to the correct website.

The common set of IP addresses that was first established in 1983 and known as IPV4 and the one that has been described has quickly dried up. IPV6 addressing was launched to handle future domains, and both versions are now in use.

STATIC AND DYNAMIC IP ADDRESS

Two types of IP addresses are assigned: static and dynamic. The static address never changes. Web hosting service providers buy and use a group of dynamic addresses. This means that when a user who has been assigned a dynamic address disconnects from the Internet, the address is assigned to another user.

Static IP addresses reveal information such as the continent, country and region in which the computer is located. However, the IP address may not display the correct domain information. The reason for this is that a company based in South Asia may have a static IP address for a US web hosting provider. The IP address will provide this information when starting an IP lookup. Large organizations prefer to have static IP addresses, and some government agencies also have static IP addresses.

Dynamic IP addresses are a pool of interchangeable IP addresses. All ISPs have a pool of addresses and they assign an IP address when a user connects to the Internet. Sharing a dynamic IP address is cheaper and safer than a static IP address. It is easier for hackers to hack static IP addresses because the domain address never changes. When a hacker tries to hack a dynamic address, he may come across another domain using the IP address.

When you move, you can take your laptop with you, but you cannot carry the IP address with you. If you log into a café that provides Wi-Fi services and connect to the Internet from there, you will use the café's assigned IP address to check your email and perform other Internet activities.

HOW TO FIND A DOMAIN BY IP

There are several ways to find out your IP address or website address. You can use the "tracer" or "ping" command to find the IP address. But knowing the IP address of a website doesn't give you any additional information.

Besides displaying the IP address, it tells you which country the IP address is located in and the name of the web hosting provider that hosts the domain.

This information can be very helpful to see who the actual service provider of your domain is. You may have purchased a web hosting provider located in your region or country. However, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) can be a reseller for another Internet Web Hosting Service Provider. Thus, you can be a business house based in Singapore, but your website can be hosted in Australia.

OUTPUT

It is very helpful to know who the ISP is for any domain on the Internet. Not only will you know the exact IP address of a domain, but you will also find out where that domain is hosted from. If you think a competitor's site is getting a better response than yours. Also, you will find that the reason is because they are using a great web hosting provider, you can get this information by doing a domain IP lookup using SAS. You can then decide if you want to abandon your current web hosting provider and switch to another.
